About Peggy Casey Mason: The Art of Fearless Reinvention
From corporate life to the French countryside, Casey Mason's art embodies fearless reinvention. What began as a self-taught painting journey, influenced by Monet and others, developed into a life of vibrant abstraction that resonates with collectors worldwide.
Her early works featured delicate landscapes and still-lifes. A transformative workshop in Monet’s gardens led her to sell her U.S. home, leaving corporate life for the French countryside, where she turned a crumbling house into a French home while continuing her artistic practice.
In France, she found inspiration in Gerhard Richter, Joan Mitchell & Jackson Pollock, shifting her art towards intuitive abstractions celebrating nature and her transformation.
After a decade of abstraction, she returned to landscape painting, blending her new insights with her original inspirations.
Now back in the U.S., New Jersey based, Casey Mason creates oil on canvas landscapes and bold expressionism abstracts.

Artist Statement
Self-taught for over 35 years (with a few workshops mixed in) , my practice blends spontaneity with introspection across Impressionist oils and abstract expressionism. Early plein-air work drew from Monet, Pissarro, Sisley, and Morisot; later influences—Richter, Mitchell, Pollock—unlocked bold, liberated abstracts.
I paint intuitively, letting chance and instinct lead, then reflect retrospectively to uncover what the canvas has revealed: unconscious emotions, memories, or inner states. Embracing “mistakes” as essential, I sidestep trends and repetition, ensuring each piece pushes me forward. The result is authentic, ever-evolving work that invites viewers to discover their own resonances.
