Bovine Bliss oil painting 20x16

When I stumbled upon this scene in rural France I had done a small study sketch. However, since my move back to the US I've been unable to locate the sketch. Nonetheless I decided to create a larger piece referring to photos and using my memory from that beautiful day of discovery.

I love the depth and wispy clouds that give the painting a peaceful ambiance. A timeless pastoral theme!

The wooden 3 inch profile frame echoes the rural charm of the painting. Overall dimensions are 23 x 19. Ready to hang upon receipt.

Bovine Bliss won 1st place in the juried exhibition held at The Firefly Artists Gallery in Northport, Long Island, NY in Sept.2024.
