"As The Wind Blows" 2022 acrylic 60 x 48
Inspired by the lazy winds (ie. the winds blow right through you) of March, at first glance, the spontaneous energetic marks denotes movement. The wind can create a sense of beauty in a landscape, with swaying trees and grasses. So why did I use black which is not found in the landscape (according to Monet)? I pondered perhaps “As the Wind Blows” metaphorically could be viewed as a symbol of flexibility and adaptability. Being able to adjust to changing circumstances or “going with the flow” could be a comparison to the wind blowing. Photos show a variety of rooms and decors this painting would look exceptional in.
This large artwork is un-stretched canvas and ships in a tube. A local framer can remount it on stretcher bars and painting can be hung without a frame as the sides are 1.5 inch deep. Please use the contact form to request shipping in a crate.
Certificate of authenticity accompanies all paintings. Images in-situ may not be to scale.
